Developing World Health's main focus is the treatment of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) which affect over 1.4 billion people in the developing world.  Through partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, consortiums and other institutions, Developing World Health conducts medical research to find new cures and treatments for these devastating diseases which disproportionately affect women and children.  Through a network of collaborations, Developing World Health can facilitate the development, approval, manufacture and distribution of new medicines to the developing world.  By working alongside Ministries of Health in the developing countries, they ensure that the treatments are delivered and administered safely and by trained staff.  The treatments not only cure people and prevent disease they also have the capacity to save entire communities opening the way for economic and social development.

Developing World Health has launched the '50p Life Change Appeal' in partnership with the Schistosomiasis Initiative, part of Imperial College London.  For only 50p they can treat a child in Sub Saharan Africa against 6 of the most common and devastating NTDs for a whole year.
