Thursday 13th September sees the return of our regular Lunch & Learn slots.  Chris Horne, Managing Consultant for the HR Services division of Head Resourcing will host a session looking at appraisals.
 
Appraisals are widely disliked by managers as much as they are by staff - often seen as a hassle in the way of doing what really is important for the business.  Can things be different?  There is no doubt they take time, and it is also clear that only engaging with your staff at appraisal time is hardly productive.  However, by coming along to this session you will have the opportunity to learn why appraisals should be cancelled, and what you should do instead to ensure that any investment of time made is worthwhile and that all parties benefit from the experience.

Chris's career has spanned 13 years, in HR and Recruitment, working both internally to businesses as well as an external consultant, and currently leading the HR Services division at Head Resourcing. Qualified in both aptitude and personality testing, to BPS Level B, Chris has a BSc Technology and Business Studies and to support his experience is currently studying for the CIPD Professional Qualification Scheme. Chris has worked with clients including: Diageo, Investors in People Scotland, Alfred McAlpine Group, Tiso, NHS and West Lothian Council amongst others, a number of whom he has supported across both UK and Ireland.
