Specialist HR Technology Company Locates on Park
01/07/2010

A centre of excellence offering technology support to the HR function of large and small companies across Scotland has been established on the Innovation Park.

activHR Consulting Ltd (www.activHR.com) has moved into Scion House to facilitate and support the overall growth plans of the Company.

Led by Nick Pye, activHR Consulting was set up in 2003 and has become a centre of excellence for the supply of consultancy services, project management and technical support for HR, Payroll and Workforce Management software solutions.

Client companies across Scotland range in size from 20 up to 11,000 employees and include Royal Blind, Scottish Rugby, SAMH, Bosch Rexroth, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Dingbro, and the Mungo Foundation.

As the role of HR departments becomes ever more central to the development of a skilled workforce, and the ultimate success of a company, it is essential to ensure that companies utilise only the best software solutions.  These solutions should have the ability to devolve responsibility to line managers, thus ultimately empowering the HR department to increase its effectiveness and to deliver a consistent approach to the management of the workforce. activHR Consulting has increased the number of products it can offer its clients to support and increase the efficiency of their HR function.

activHR Consulting’s specialist team of seven personnel are qualified and accredited by each software vendor to configure their software to meet the specific requirements of individual clients.  Thus enabling clients to manage all aspects of their HR requirements, and adopt complete people management systems, with the tools needed to manage employees effectively in one solution that supports the full employee lifecycle. This encompasses recruitment, absence and holiday management, self-service, disciplinary & grievance, performance management & development and training administration.

Nick Pye commented: “We have had a long association with the Innovation Park and we’re already experiencing the many benefits of being based here.

As part of our immediate development plans we recently employed two additional members of staff and decided it was time to bring everyone together within a central office environment. The Park is ideally located in the centre of Scotland and really works well for us.“

Lynn Blaikie, the Innovation Park’s Operations and Business Development Manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome activHR Consulting as members of the Innovation Park’s family and will support them in their ambition to expand their business.”
