Sporting Chance Initiative is Open For Business
29/07/2010

Following the successful pilot project which ran from 2006 to 2008, the Sporting Chance Initiative will now embark on the next phase, with a new and expanded multi-disciplinary team, situated within Stirling University Innovation Park.

The Sporting Chance Initiative aims to continue to develop a “smart sports community” within Scotland, sharing knowledge and resources, which will create and apply new and existing technologies for the benefit of sports participants and spectators, and generate business opportunities and growth for member organisations.

By providing an interactive forum, participants from a diverse set of organisations and backgrounds - who would not normally be in direct contact - can come together to collaborate in creating new and exciting products and services by applying technologies in innovative ways to sport.

The programme also creates more specific collaborative opportunities by engaging directly with organisations in order to match their current and future requirements to technologies and resources available within Scottish Universities, SMEs and Multinational companies.
