Brian has over 27 years employment within local government.  Before becoming a Director in 2001, Brian was a Head of Service with responsibility for policy and strategy and a variety of both direct and support services.  Up until early 2007, Brian was Director of Regeneration Services which included the creation of Scotland’s first Urban Regeneration Company and a number of significant regeneration and change management programmes.

Currently, Brian is Director of Environment Services with leadership responsibility for 1400 employees and sizeable revenue and capital budgets.  As well as this, Brian is a Director on a number of external organisations.

Brian graduated with a post graduate Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) and in 1997, obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA).  More recently he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Electronic Business through a virtual university hosted by Robert Gordon University.

Brian lives in Kirkintilloch, is married and has two teenage daughters.  His hobbies are exercising and reading.
