Alan Settery, Technology Transfer Manager
As Technology Transfer Manager, it is Alan's responsibility to manage the three year SEEKIT programme. With the key activities of networking, workshops and business support, the programme is designed to encourage collaboration and innovation with the aim of technology transfer to grow business and wealth for Scotland.
A qualified electrical and electronic engineer from Heriot-Watt University, Alan'’s background in academic, commercial and MoD sectors affords him a unique understanding of diverse technology needs. Alan has held engineering, scientific research, commercial and managerial roles with Ferranti International, Geoacoustics Ltd, DERA (Defence Evaluation & Research Agency) and Agilent Technologies UK Ltd.
He joins SUIP as a commercial specialist to help innovative companies with the collaboration process, getting world-class co-operation that will grow existing and new markets and propel businesses forward.
